Couldn't get logged in to Burner (yeah, that's right, Burner. Bite me.) because I didn't realize that your username is different from your screen name. Finally got it figured out, so I now have a new Oppo machine. Have a new Oppo machine to celebrate!

The one thing I hate about using apple products is it's the computer equivalent of driving a Miata or some other car with a bad stigma attached to it. Everyone says you're biased or you're rich. Honestly there isn't a windows equivalent that I think is worth the money. When I bought my second air I brought a friend with me to Microcenter for a witness and told the sales guy in the Windows laptop section I wanted to purchase a Macbook Air and told him to sell me a Windows laptop. There were a couple decent contenders but they actually cost more and had more drawbacks, most importantly resale value. Now I finally have a Macbook Air competitor that I am thoroughly happy with though: A Chromebook.

Ninety percent of what I did on a Macbook Air either was done or could have been done in Chrome. For that other ten percent I still have my desktop. People might argue that a Chromebook is only fifty to seventy-five percent the computer a Macbook Air is but it is only thirty percent of the price so I'm fine with the tradeoffs. If the situation presents itself to purchase a Macbook Air again I happily would but right now I just don't need one.

Oh, yeah I definitely love them regardless of free or not. I was just stating the stigma that goes with it like you have to justify your choice to random people. Like driving a Miata, it's a great machine but everyone wants to hassle you about it.
