It's going to be a massive bitch to source parts without seeing a 6+figure price tag. Not to mention its dismal performance turned it into an engineering laughingstock.

V-VR6 would have sounded silly. Lol.

Care to elaborate? I was unaware the w12 was a laughing stock.

The Life F35 was supposed to compete in the Formula 1 class but having 480 HP and planted in the back of an ex-First L190 chassis, the car couldn't be able to go through 14 pre-qualifying rounds before the team withdrew. It was even bested by Formula 3 machinery, no less.

Best to let the horrible engine die.

It didn't work so laughing stock would be correct. As I understand one difficulty with W engines is that no matter how you arrange them one of the Vs is going to have both inlet and exhaust systems in it and the heat from the one isn't healthy for the other.

The VW engine isn't a W12 no matter what they call it. It's a V12 with short, wide banks.

From what I hear, the German pronunciation of "W" sounds like "double-vee."
