Last night, my S5 hit the 35K mile mark. I've had the S5 for just under 4 years (August 27, 2010 is when I picked up the keys to it). My hope was to reach 36K miles on the 4 year mark, but...
The S5 would have a few more miles on it if it weren't for the times that I got to drive a number of other Audis ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! No matter what, I still !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and it hasn't given me any problems *knocks on wood*
For those wanting some photos of the S5...

Aye, in fact I've been lusting over a Sepang Blue S7 that I built on Audi Deutschland's site. I've uploaded a picture of the build on Flickr at: https://flic.kr/p/otw4NS

Yep... too bad it's well above my current budget. That said, I'm 2-3 years out and need to start saving up :D

I'll try to, but work schedule may not quite allow for it ;) That said, I'll be going up to Seattle the day after, so that'll make up for it a bit.

When it's time to move on to the next car, I'll definitely miss Sprint Blue. That is, unless if I go down the Audi Exclusive route and have the next Audi painted in Sprint Blue ;)

The calculated fuel economy? I had just gotten off of the highway. The calculated average MPG for the past 10K miles is around 16 MPG.

B9 RS 5 is on my list and would most likely be a bit more attainable :)

Have you driven many Mercedes or BMW's?

I haven't owned any, but have driven a 325 and a 335 a few times. The 335i (and later the 335is) and a Z4 35 were on my consideration list. They were fun to drive, but just wasn't a fan of the E92 styling, primarily the interior. The Z4, while nice, wasn't quite practical for what I needed for a daily driver. I still want to own either a Z3 or Z4 coupe (M or not) someday as another fun car.

Yeah the E9x styling was not my favorite, at least not in lease guise, but in the sport or M trim, I like it, not love.
But you've never driven a Mercedes? No wonder you got an Audi... (Just kidding. But seriously, you should drive a newer one.)

The only Mercedes that I recently drove was an E350 BlueTec to see how their diesels were like. Overall, I liked how it drove, but was no fan of COMAND and, to me, looked a bit too bland. Would love to get behind the wheels of the C63 AMG coupe just to let some of my inner Clarkson out.

The only way that I can stand an E9x is if it were an M Sport or M. Can't say that I'm too enamored with the seemingly overwrought styling of the new 4 series. 2 series looks better than the 1 series it replaces and the new 4 series.

I too have driven an E350 Bluetech, it was a 2011, and I friking loved it! Mercedes diesels are my favorite by miles! I can't even tell they're diesels, I have to look at the badge, they're so quiet; they're actually quieter than BMW gas DI engines.
Command is not my favorite, but I like it better than iDrive. But I've also never tried MMI.
I'd love to drive a C63, but I don't think I'd ever buy one because it starts out as a taxi.

The 4 series is okay, but only with the sport package (not M Sport) and bigger wheels. I've seen a lease special and man it did not look good. But that's also why I like the W204 C Class, and the new W205, they look great as base models. The A4 does really well as a base model too. The E9X and Fwhatever don't do well as base models though.

Nice car, dude! I'm actually thinking of getting one of these in 4 years (maybe). I really would like a G8 GXP, maybe even a CTS-V or something like that, but the AWD might make more sense living in Fargo. I noticed the price for an example like yours to be somewhat attainable, which is around $30k+; I can imagine that being cheaper in the coming years. I even saw a high-mileage S5 for $24k.
What has maintenance been like? Just oil changes since it's so new? Would a 50" TV fit in the back seat? Any experience in the snow? Also, how's the infotainment system? Haha, these are my priorities. I have an Si sedan right now. It's my first manual car, but I'm already wanting something more brutish. I like it well enough though, even, dare say, love it. Yeah, I love it, but I've never been a fan of FWD, even though that's all I've owned. Some people have suggested upgrading it. I don't know. I like the idea of a stock car, and I think it already has enough power to the front wheels, to be honest.

The S5 was my first manual car :)
As far as fitting a 50" TV in the back seat, I have never tried. It is a bit tight back there, so it might be a no. As far as maintenance is concerned, it's just been the normal maintenance (oil changes, fluid checks) along with swapping the stock Pirelli P Zero tires with something much, much better (Michelin Pilot Super Sports). There were a couple of TSBs that had to be done, but those were covered. I purchased Audi Care with the S5, so it was pre-paid. I'm thinking about getting Audi Care Plus once the S5 rolls over 40K to help keep the next 3 maintenance costs in check.
The only gripe I have about the 3G MMI w/ nav that is in my S5 is the lack of built-in Bluetooth audio streaming that the 2G MMI w/ nav and MMI Nav plus have. Yeah, I can toss in a Bluetooth adapter and will probably do so later. For now, I have two 32GB SD cards plus a 128GB USB stick to pull music and podcasts from.
I have a set of snow tires and it's pretty good in the snow. It's really nice being able to have a stick and start in 2nd if needed :)
