I hesitantly agree. I'd still get the hatch, but the sedan isn't just not hideous, it's relatively attractive. Which is a new development for a car in its segment.

Are you saying the fiesta sedan looks better than the hatch? Every time I see a fiesta sedan I think "why would you do that to yourself? You could have gotten the hatch and you didn't!"

As I've said before, this is only true for the latest crop of world cars that were all designed as hatches. When they come to the US some intern must get saddled with slapping a suitable trunk on the vehicle and it all goes straight to hell. The tails never seem to match the noses.

Sedans that are designed to be sedans are rare among small cars these days.

I Agree completely, but there may be the case for the Lancer being cooler as a sedan than as a hatch. Or just better looking.
