From what I just read, yes. In 2016, but it feels like forever. Almost like the Mazdaspeed variant of Mazda cars.

The problem is who is gonna buy a 640hp Viper when you can buy a 707hp sedan for half the price. I know these are just numbers and don't mean much in real life but you know how it goes, everyone wants to have the highest HP number, It's in our DNA that way.

They need to make a procharged V10 Viper from factory with 800+ HP IMO

It's one thing to want a Viper, and wish you had 100k to spend on one. It's quite another to have 100k to spend, and then decide the Viper is the best choice. It has the "wow" factor, but 100k buys a lot of car, and is close to double the Corvette's price.

I've driven an 07ish Viper and it was a blast, but if the Z06 is 75k, the Viper really needs to be around there. Make half the margin, and sell four times as many.

oh fuck yes, especially if it comes with a Texas Edition . interesting fact, i actually took a road trip from austin to seattle (moving), and saw two vipers: one just sitting in a shitty little town in texas, that one was a gen V. it looked rather sad, just sitting all dusty and shit in some shitty parking lot. but dat ass though. and the other one was when i was going through to north california, it was a gen II, but it had spinners and shit so it looked stupid (can't believe i just said that about a viper...)

tl;dr i saw two vipers over about 2700 miles on the road. very rare cars.
