These videos of North Korea are just eerie to me. On the surface things look normal, but after a bit you start picking up the strangeness of it all and it really starts to get creepy. It seems like any other city on the surface, but when you look closer you realize there is no traffic. There aren't even that may people walking around. And even in crowded places there is very little noise and nobody has any kind of conversation.

I wonder how scripted this was, actually.
Also, it makes me wonder what a came of Sims: Dictatorship would be like, where you have to use methods of social control and manipulation to subjugate the masses and prevent them from rising up.

According to the article it wasn't scripted and they had full editorial control over the final video. Granted, they weren't allowed to film certain things (construction sites, undeveloped locations, military personnel) and were accompanied the whole time by two guides. So maybe not scripted, but still heavily controlled.
