I have lost all respect for ESPN and Sports Center for their poor over-analysis of the death of Kevin Ward Jr. From the start of NASCAR coverage until the start of SC, they showed the video 5 times that I counted, and I'm sure SC showed it multiple times throughout the day on the other 100 ESPN channels. I'm sure they didn't show Paul George's broken leg that much out of "respect". Bunch of classless bunch of fuckers over there......./end rant
Have a Qvale for your time.

There was a decent outrage over the Paul George thing, too. They showed it live once, showed a replay once right after then said they wouldn't show it again. Then they showed it 3 times in the following 5 minutes.... That being said, didn't think they'd show the Ward video, but hearing that they did makes me sick to my stomach.

Did they show him getting hit?
CNN replayed the video quite a few times during the time I watched but at least they cut it before he got it. Still not in good taste.

Every time they play it, they show him getting hit. Based on being DOA at the hospital, I'm sure he was dead before the safety crews got to him on the track.

Reminds me of Greg Moore's tragic wreck, ESPN replayed the crap out of that video even though you could clearly see Greg's helmet and the exact moment when he died.

Its ESPN the only time they cover racing is when shit like this happens.

That's terrible, and absolutely unacceptable. I expect that on Deadspin, but not on ESPN... if my kid had accidentally seen that, I'd have been outraged.

I was so mad that I actually sent a complaint in to ESPN, about their "expert" analysis on Sports Center. I finished with "ESPN considers itself the worldwide leader of sports, well its time to start acting like it and not some TMZ style shit-show."
Note: I usually couldn't be bothered to even contemplate the idea of sending in a complaint knowing its not going to go there but in this case I felt it was necessary.
