Likely the new MLC, the X6 competitor.

Came here to post this. Mercedes showed a concept that is said to be very, very close to the actual production car:

Like you've said, an X6 competitor but a size smaller.
Things are growing. :-)x

That's really interesting. I saw a prototype that looked very similar to this on driving with a regular SUV prototype and a last gen BMW X5 on I-70 last month. I thought that it was the X5 M and X6 M because of the X5, but this camo pattern looks almost identical. I just looked up the BMW prototypes and they don't have much camo on, but this one and the two I saw did.

I would totally go for that profile if it was about a foot and a half closer to the ground.

But I can't! Not with a ride height like that, and those massive ugly fenders. It's like taking a supermodel and laying her on top of a giant pig.

Presumably, those seriously shopping for an X6 and its ilk, aren't experts in good taste.

Last time I was there I spotted a bunch of Ford Super Duty trucks in heavy camouflage.
