A3/S3, and the TT are FWD cars that utilize a Haldex (that's the company name) system that gives a % of power to the rear wheels under load. 90% of the time they are FWD cars, 10% of the time they are 'sorta' AWD cars. It's the same system as VW's 4Motion, which means there really is nothing Audi about it.

4-series and up though are true Quattro.

Haldex makes all sorts of 4WD transmissions, so it's a bit of a misnomer, but the VW 4Motion-based ones are the ones that are primarily FWD.
