Way back when, the Maxima was just a fancier version of the big family-hauler Datsun 810, and was actually called the 810 Deluxe for the first couple of years. That package gave you such luxury car goodies as power windows, power locks, alloy wheels and a dozen other things we take for granted on modern entry-level cars. But the best feature? It was the first talking car, with a miniature phonograph (ask your parents...) to warn of such dangerous things as leaving your lights on. Sooo luxurious...
