Rebuilt title is why it is so cheap. . . I was wondering why it was so cheap and then I read. That is a gamble. . .

Goddammit, is this already starting to happen?

Well I knew it was rebuilt. I would just want to see what the damage was. If it's only cosmetic, it doesn't bother me.

I'm guessing 5-speed Focus's are rare.

20k for $10k isn't bad, but salvage title spooks me. The carpet looks like it was in a flood. Rip the ST badges off if you buy it

Well it's a pretty extensive swap, so I doubt it will happen often.

Is it just me or does that engine look really used and dirty for having only 20,000 miles?

Also, although rebuilt I think its a NP. Although it really depends how bad it was.

Well since it got the "euro" ST treatment I'm assuming it had a decent front end collision and new cars don't get totaled out that easily so extreme documentation on the damage and repairs would be necessary.

WAT

I was wondering if you could do this the other way around...put a normal Focus bodykit on a Focus ST. I would never have thought about doing it this way.

You should totally trade the GTO for it. At least this has a manual...

And you're right, take off the actual ST badges, and it does look tempting...

In order for a 2 year old car to be totaled out and then issued a rebuilt title the damage has to be extensive. Well beyond cosmetic damage. If it was just a torn bumper cover and a crunched fender it would have been repaired instead of totaled out.

I saw a sedan ST clone once and it was amazing! I like hatches as much as anyone else but seeing this would make me buy a FoST sedan instead.

DAT YELLOW!!!

I don't really know the area, but that smells like a hail or flood car (or both).

I actually did offer that trade to him, but he declined.

Luckily, I don't have a GTO anymore so I'm thinking about it. But, I probably get the Cooper instead.

I'm still wondering whether or not it would sell easy. The manual would probably help it.

I really want to see an ST sedan swap, though engine and everything.

Someone already did this with a 14 SE, in one of the non ST colours too

I think two bucks worth of floss ought to do that.

I would avoid a car that's been in a noteworthy accident. Things that you think are not a big deal when you first get the car can end up souring the ownership experience later on. Hence, reluctant CP.
