But I can't sign the petition to end the 25 year import law. It's not because I agree with something that can only be described as "properly idiotic", but because, by not living in the US, I feel that adding my signature to it would cheapen the cause.
I mean, sure, I'm a real person who completely supports the end of this stupid ban, but I could also be some random guy clicking for cash from a country not at all related to said law. The ban has to end, but I feel I offer more help by not helping at all. Am I wrong for thinking like that, I mean, should someone who lives two continents away of a country have any say in that country's laws? What do you guys think?

I'm not gonna sign it because that stupid account has spammed it in every god damn thread on Jalopnik and its sub-blogs as well.
I'm a vindictive kind of jerk.

You have to a citizen of the US to sign. So don't worry.

Yeah, but for once it's something that may actually interest the community. Nobody cares about fake work at home pages or plugs for cheap sunglasses, but more cool cars is something we could all get behind.

Oh, makes sense :p
Now I don't have to feel bad for not signing, since it's, you know, only for american citizens after all.

Hahaha, sorry... I just happen to really like this version of the Skyline, and the Skyline was pretty much the car that sparked this whole mess.

Yes, but it's the delivery of the information.
It would be like taking the message, rolling it up and attaching it to an arrow, and then firing it at my front door. Sure, it's pertinent. And it's for a good cause. But you fired a fucking arrow at my door, bro.

Even if you did live in the US, it'd still be fine.
This might make me sound non-Jalop, but honestly the petition would never work. It's been done so many times before, and they've made the same amount of progress: none.

I have a solution!!!
Since I went to NYC, and fell in love with it, I'm dreaming of moving to US... Anyone need a attorney over there? LOL

Well, that's true... But still, I'd sign it if I lived there. Even if it got nowhere :p

Or simply google a random zip code? I don't know how they verify.. Perhaps it can tell which country the email account is from?

An attorney in the U.S. Are you kidding me? We LOVE suing people! It's the sue-happiest place on Earth!

In order to sign the petition you need to give at least cursory information that shows you're in the US.

OH. I considered putting my UK postcode in the zip but it wasn't required so I left it. You know, for credibility!! But this is a good question, I voted anyway as this is a global problem really, just with the US at the centre (and Can to some extent)
