Headed to Road America for the TUDOR United Sportscar Championship series after work tomorrow! Camping out for the weekend and partying it up.
Anyone else going?

I'll be there on Sunday. Should be a good race, and am stoked that the mx-5 cup cars will be there.

Definitely!

You'll have to post your camping experience. I've always said that if indycar got their shit together and had a double header with then alms now tuscc, I would definitely be camping. That would be a epic weekend. Anyways, we will be walking around Sunday at 8am with a cool brew in hand, nothing like race day!

I missed this post - I've been here all weekend working the event. I'd love to meet up with fellow Jalops/Opponauts if you're free at some point tomorrow. Cheers!

So many yellows! lol
I was down by the kink this morning when the Mazda and the Porsche crashed, that one was pretty crazy.

I watched the replay when we'd got home, that was something else. We walked around all morning and had a canopy set up on the south side in between turns 5 and 6. Big accident in the gt3 race in turn 5. We were right up to the fence, and it wax awesome.

Nice! Yeah, we hiked down to the inside of Canada corner during the TUDOR race and then over to the stretch between the Kink and Canada, and there's a section where the fence is down and you can get right up by the wall. They were on yellow for a few laps, but we got to stand right there when they went by WOT for a couple laps. That was so insanely awesome!

how did you get to the area between the kink and canada, did you walk over from canada corner, need details so I can do that next year! Last year a buddy of mine and I walked to the inside corner of Canada, that is a crazy hike, steep as he'll, walked from Canada to the lions on the hill where the zip line is.

Yeah, walk over there from inside corner of Canada. The path keeps on going and exists up by the go-kart track eventually.

We will definitely give that a look next year. Thanks for the tip.

You can even fit your phone through the holes and record some video. My phone was dead, but my buddy got some. Keep an eye on www.BuildRaceParty.com for the footage, a write up, and lots of pics. There is a spot I'm pretty I can fit a GoPro through too. I will be doing that next year.

so where you from seeing as this was a travel deal. Hope you liked wisky, and seibkens is unbelievable. David Hobbs hangs out there, he has a house in Elkhart and is a regular for events downtown. I have bookmarked the web page and will wait for the video.

I live in the suburbs north of Chicago. So it was only a 2 hour drive. Seibkens was a blast. We spent both Friday and Saturday night there, because the guys I was with know a bunch of people there. They've been going to Road America for years, and actually are racers in a variety of series.

Mostly. My actual work email is @nascar.com but I was brought on in part to be a regular with the IMSA team as well.
