Because dammit I think I'm starting to like this car too much.
I want one. I've really wanted one since they came out honestly.

The Dart looks OK but is half the car the Neon was.

The time I spent in one at the NY Auto Show left me really impressed. They whole post-Fiat Chrysler lineup is damn nice.
But when I asked the Dodge reps why they'd put Michael Dorn in a commerical:
And then dub him over when he has such an awesome voice, they just went "uhhhhhh" and looked for someone else to help.

For some reason I don't believe that.

Mwuahahaha... my plan is working

I like them, but I wish they didn't call them a Dart. They are nothing like the original and I hate it when manufacturers just want to profit of a name.

Just like the Charger isn't the same as the original and the Impala and Malibu aren't either. Just going with the times using classic names.

Way too much infotainment, but that's how it is now.

Eh, at least it all works well. UConnect is apparently top notch.

The retro-styled cars are the same way. Although, they are at least somewhat reminiscent of the classics, so I can partially forgive them.
I think alot of nameplates should have died off gracefully along time ago, so that people would remember how good they were.

I'd rather have old names than a bunch of jumbled numbers and letters. Doesn't really bug me.

You kids weren't around in the Neon's heyday. When the Neon was introduced it was light years ahead of all other shitboxes in power and handling. It dominated SCCA club racing for years beating the likes of cars like the Miata (Gasp) around road courses until Miata introduced the "trunk kit" to SCCA racing.
The Miata ACR I owned in 1997 had Koni adjustable struts on all four corners and would absolutely embarrass any other car in it's class on the autocross course or road course when properly set up. It was light, nimble and fun to drive. Three things the Dart will never be. /Neontrolling

I will agree with you on that. I'd prefer it if they came up with new names though.

Bob Lutz is waking up in a cold sweat somewhere right now.
"What's wrong, hun?"
"I...I don't know. I felt a disturbance in the force. As if a single GM fan turned traitor and started lusting for a Dart."
"Why would any GM loyalist do that?"
"No idea, honey. I mean, how does it even compare to the Cruze? I mean, the Darts gonna have AWD and 300HP soon while the cruze-...Oh my god!"
* Immediately reaches for the red phone which connects only to Maria Barra's cell*

Car and Driver and Edmunds both had pretty common QC issues with their long-term Darts. I'd think most of the issues have to have been sorted out by now, though. Especially since they killed the Avenger to help spur slow Dart sales.

Lutz should've woken up in a cold sweat a long time ago then, I've been lusting over Chrysler products for a while.

If their Darts were early models, I'm sure they have some issues. Seems like for the first model year, Chrysler always has a few teething issues on their cars.

If there was a hatch version I'd probably have one right now.

A hatch version would be downright great.

Dear Dodge...and Honda, We like hatchbacks, and high performance models of economy class cars. See Ford Focus, and Fiesta for reference.
