Inverted V-16. Awesome. Just awesome. 2500hp takeoff power was the goal. They hit it. The war was ending and the Germans had Jets. The writing was on the wall for Piston engines but Chrysler paid to finish the testing program to the end as they were learning a whole lot with this project. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! written much better than I could do.

Man, I would have never guessed that that was a P-47.
