Not to hate Salamone, I couldn't care about him one way or the other, and not to offend anyone from Staten Island if you are a decent human being, but....
Everyone I have ever talked to from Staten Island has been scum of the earth and just outright awful human beings.

I have this strange goal. Take a VW Passat TDI Wagon, tweak a few things to make better power, active exhaust, intake, tune, possibly injectors, clutch, etc. Then integrate in a 50+ gallon fuel tank to accompany the stock tank (with some serious work to keep from filling the cab with fumes). Then take said car and enter the Gumball and keep overall pace with the pack whilst maintaining a much lower top speed. Literally make the entire trip on one tank of gas. Just for shits.

Same concept could be applied to the transcontinental speed record, although you would still wind up holding a fairly ludicrous speed.
