That list was dumb. Don't pay any attention to it. The pictured Sentra is exactly what it needs to be. Scrappy, cheap, and startlingly fun in the right situation.

Auto dimming mirrors, heated seats, and blue-tooth are NOT necessary in any world I want to live in. My mom might disagree, but she's a 60-year-old realtor who just wants a pretty metallic paint job and a stereo that plays the Moody Blues in full Stereophonic Sound.

Want to make any car awesome? Summer/winter tires, well-bolstered seats, and an exhaust note that makes you want to hoon. That's it. That's my list. An optional addition to that list would be for the car to be cheap/ratty enough that you don't worry about over-hooning it into a snowy ditch or off the track at an open track day. Nothing sucks like over-hooning a really nice car.

Oh, and you don't need a hatch because sometimes they look really clumsy (looking at you, first gen Mazda 3). And you don't need three pedals (off-road trucks and muscle cars usually have 2 pedals and are a blast).

7/10. One of them is because it's too old to have bluetooth. The other is because my car was not available as a manual or a hatch. That said, a manual hatch/wagon version would've been awesome.

Well in Montana, heated seats are kinda mandatory from October to April. But my Z has none of those things. Heater? Check...... AC? Roll the windows down. And that is about it. Oh and a four speed.

I've got the manual transmission in the truck, but that's it. I wish it had cruise.

The Malibu has the cruise, but no manual...so either way I'm at 1/10.

My interior does have alcantera accents and RS logos everywhere , so I think it counts

To be honest, a manual is really the only thing on that list that I would want if I were to ever buy a new car. (No matter how unlikely that'll ever be) And my old beater SE-R has that, so all the better!

Coincidentally, my car does have good tires, seats, and a great exhaust sound, so I guess I have it pretty good!
