After two years of restoration, the engine got dropped into the '73 Nova SS today.
Of course it's a 350, but its been tweaked "just a bit", and it now has some Summit top end gadgets and a huge-ass Edelbrock air gulper to make stuff mo better.
I can't wait to just hear this thing idle.

My favorite noise in the world as a kid was my older friend 68 Camaro's 350 when it first got installed, before any real muffler was attached. It sounded like the drums of the apocalypse.

I had a 74 Nova with a 350 and loved it, it was nothing fancy, column shift bench seat maybe 300 hp but it was a great first muscle car

Nice, what heads/cam/compression and power are you expecting?

Sorry for the delay, but I missed your question last night.
I'm running a set of custom heads directly out of Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte, NC. As for cams, right now I'm going with the Crane 272 Thumpers to set a baseline which will help me get the entire package dialed in.
As for power, I am looking for around 375-390hp...but since this a stock block that hasn't been cranked in twenty years I'm going step by step...slowly. I don't want to go too aggressive with the set up, or too fast with the build and end up having to do work over again.
I'm hoping to get it started up the week of the 18th when I get back to the US, and while it still won't be drivable, it should be music to hear.
