yeah especially because a lot of times you can get a crazy discount on a still new prior model year in december/january or sometimes in the fall if a replacement model is out.

I'm thinking more like "end of month/end of year quotas". I bought mine towards the end of December and got a smoking deal. $6500 off MSRP. Also, I'm not sure how their prices on the infographic go - are people looking at 'discount off msrp' or just 'discount compared to the average price paid', or 'discount compared to other discount' or what? Plus I'd like to know if any buyer actually paid MSRP!

yeah really.
well, the scenario I was highlighting is when it's 2014 and the dealer still has new 2013 stock, they are desperate to move those models at that point. My dad got a crazy deal 4 years ago on a brand new 09 Silverado in January 2010.
