In one weeks time the Cadillac LTS will be reviled at Monetary (probably). The rebirth of true American luxury. I think I might faint.

Recalls will proceed to be sent out 5 minutes afterwards...
I keed, I keed!
Seriously though, the want is strong.

Color me skeptical. The American automakers trot out one of these "return to roots" retro concepts every couple of years, but nothing's ever come of it.

Lol I know you probably meant revealed but reviled can also work here:

Came here to make a "well, I'm certainly going to revile it" joke.

Besides these living fossils rolling around?

Like the soon to come Supras and NSXs.

My expectations aren't very high. It will probably have as "exciting design" as ATS and interesting engine options seem unlikely. And even if it would be interesting they probably aren't bringing it to European markets.

True, they do seem to have pulled the trigger on the sports cars. No retro luxobarges yet, though. But maybe that will change.

I share your excitement, however I fear that it won't look any where near as good as the design concepts.

It's already been reviled to K-Roll.
Just think. I mean, I know it will likely be some sort of twin turbo V6 or V8 hybrid, but just think what you would do if they pulled back the sheet on this, the production model, and it has this badge on it:

But do you think Cadillac can pull this off? I mean, there are numerous renderings of this thing out there, and all of them seem to be poised to take on not just the S-Class but the likes of Bentley and Rolls-Royce.

That they do but I think Cadillac is finally getting serious with the brand lineup and that is what is making me so hopeful.

I am an idiot

Oh please I thought it was funny because it works! Plus the car will likely be reviled especially by those who've been in the new S class or S class Coupe.

If they made a V16 I think the EPA would shit a chicken. But yes they absolutely need to make this.

I think they are shooting for the S-class. They know they can't go too far up market when the lineup is directed towards upper middle class. Now that doesn't mean they won't offer up market versions but I suspect the vehicle to be around 85K

I agree but here is hoping we are both wrong

I think Cadillac will focus on China and NA but I wouldn't be surprised if the LTS made an appearance in Europe. I bet engine options will be an evolution of the LT1 in the Stingray and maybe the twin turbo V6 from the CTS as a base option

Oh it does work? Good I do not feel as stupid! And yes snobs will poo poo the car for sure. I bet baby boomers that always wanted a big Caddy will buy it

Some of the renders (like the one you posted here) wouldn't look out of place parked next to a Roller though.

I agree with you completely. But isn't that a good thing? Roller style at S-class price
