...for a 10-year-old car! It takes a long time to wax her by hand. A long freaking time.

Oh the envy of owning a Phaeton....

Did you use Turtle Wax Black Box? It takes for f****** ever to do (it's like 4 steps) but the results are amazing.

**(stating the obvious) it's made for specifically black cars

High praise coming from you, Matt.

If you ever make it back to VW, you can take her for a spin. Just, you know, keep your speed under 93 so you don't end up in a cell with Georgie-boy.

I use a wax called FW1 by RGS Labs. I love that stuff. Two coats is usually all I have the strength or patience for, since the car is the size of a small house.

You forgot to use a detailing clay bar before you waxed it. Now start all over again.

V8 or W12?

Waxing that? Take 35-45 minutes to apply and 90-100 minutes to remove, just eyeballing it.

Now, buffing and polishing? That is what will take ages and ages to do by hand because that shit takes applied pressure and can't be done in more than a tiny patch at a time or it leaves sticky residue. Uuuuuuuugh, I need an orbital.

V8. I'm not crazy enough to drive a W12. I'm not a masochist.

You just don't want to MAN UP to dat 50k mile engine replacement interval.

(And neither do I, cause that shit is cray cray)
