H2A is to HA10 what Halo 2 was to the original Combat Evolved . Seriously, they are putting waaaaay more effort into the Halo 2 remaster than they did for the original game and that's just wrong on so many levels.

HA10 does not include a multiplayer component. HA10 even came out long after Reach, being the first title released under 343 Industries.

H2A, on the other hand, includes multiplayer.

So, I feel a little betrayed. I don't care for Halo's multiplayer after the first game, and yet HA10 didn't get multiplayer. Now the game that I think ruined Halo's multiplayer is getting its multiplayer revived.

Technology and planned obsolescence had nothing to do with it. They claimed they didn't give HA10 multiplayer because they didn't want to fragment Halo's player base...which was a crap argument because the Halo player base was already fragmented due to Halo 3 still running.

It was just a lazy move, that's it.

Halo 2 was still running when halo 3 came out. Also Halo 3 is still running with 4 out. it wasnt lazy it was just things going on.

That's only helping my argument by pointing out that Halo's player-base has always been fragmented among many entries.

Saber had only one game to make when working on HA10. They were ordered not to bother with Multiplayer and to instead just make some Halo: Reach maps based on Combat Evolved maps because 343I didn't want to add a third game for "fragmentation" reasons. That means they actually had to remove the competitive multiplayer portion of the game.

I am not falling for the "buy our new console because it has this one feature that we left out of the exact same game last time!" tactic. I don't reward marketing divisions for being shoddy, and Microsoft has one seriously shoddy marketing division.

Well you also have the intergration of 1-4 as well and then ontop of that you get a campaign matchmaking and selective missions and seemeless UI that can launch any game from one menu. It also give you acess to the 5 beta(Gimicky) but $60 for 4 games when Halo 4 is still $60 bucks is an awesome value no matter how you shape it.

You are right, it's an awesome value for the money, but only if you already have the Xbox One and don't already have the rest of the games included. The only game I don't already have in that box is H2A; Halo 3 and 4 aren't getting remastered, and HA10 isn't getting updated either.

I have to shell out at least $460 to play H2A and HA10 multiplayer, neither of which are truly new experiences. I'll pick it up if I find there are enough games to justify owning an Xbox One, but my days of buying a console for one game ended in 2007 with the Halo 3 Edition Xbox 360.

Well you do have some other games on XB1 like AC4 Black Flag Watch_Dogs Titanfall BF4(Trust me its better on XB1 compared to 360) Also The Forza Franchise cause Horizon 2 is comming and Forza 5 is supurb I mena I cna keep listing off games you just gotta choose what game to get cause they have the full list of whats coming on their website

All of those except Forza are on PC, which is my primary games platform. That's the real issue. As it is now, neither the Xbox One nor the PlayStation 4 have a compelling enough library for me to want to pick them up. Shoot, there's even a strong chance that Destiny will launch on PC sometime in the middle of next year.

Ya PC holds no value for me because other then League of Legends I've always had consoles and I've tried PC gamming but it just doesnt work.

I grew up with PC games. I didn't get my first console until the original Xbox, and even then that was only the summer before Halo 2's release. I find that I can't bring myself to pay a ridiculous subscription fee to play online when I can do that with simply my ISP connection on PC. I also get to enjoy most of the same games with some PC exclusives, and I get to enjoy them with higher fidelity.

I can also do work from the same machine.

With consoles becoming more and more like PCs, it's harder and harder to justify their existence in my world. The whole "simply tray in and play" concept that used to support them is dead.
