because most Iron Maiden songs were recorded with the bass guitar turned up high and I learned a lot of my techniques being able to hear his instrument in the tracks. It's hard for bassists to hear the bass guitar on most tracks and iron Maiden was the few band that made it audible. Like in Aces High
