While waiting for my the tires to get swapped. Gal calls up. One sided conversation as follows:

I-yi-yah. How much did you put in?

Oh,ok, so ¼gallon or quart went in?

Well thats not that much, I guess maybe topping the tank off the rest of the way with Premium Gas and I don't think it it will be an issue with the mixture.

Well, we'll gladly take another look at it when you get time.

Ok, have a good day now.

IT WAS DIESEL FUEL!

Depending on the car it may not be a problem, I drove my Old '79 Opel Kadett on all sorts of weird mixtures. 20% diesel 80% Gasoline, 10% used engine oil 90% gasoline, 100% moonshine, 50/50 moonshine and gasoline, Gasoline with about 5% peanut oil. Only time I REALLY had any problems with it was when I tried to run it on 90/10 Gasoline and antifreeze. :P

Should be okay. A gas motor with diesel in it won't run well, but assuming there's some quality gasoline in the tank as well, it should run. Now gasoline in a diesel, especially a modern high compression diesel, could be disastrous.

o.O

Drain it!

Tow it, drain it, replace fuel filter and hope it didn't get through the fuel lines. Same procedure for the other mix, gas in a diesel.
