So oppo, i live in a college town in nothern idaho, moscow (pronounced like costco, not the russian capital) and a strange thing has happened with car dealers in my city, in the way that they have mostly disappeared, we have had. Approximately 8 years ago, we had 5 dealers in town: Subaru, Ford, Toyota, Chevy, and a used lot, now only the used lot remains, and to me this is very strange.
the first to go was the Chevy place, it was the Chevrolet dealership, it was sold to another guy who made it into a used car lot/chevy dealership with a lot more used cars, then it was torn down about 2 years later.
the next was the toyota dealership, they moved to along the highway between the two biggest cities in the area, mine and pullman washington, (home of another land grant university, so two major land grant universities in different states within 10 miles of each other). they moved into a purpose built much larger building and lot.
the next was the Ford dealership, they were involved in some shady business practices and fraud, and so they ended up going bankrupt, heres an article from the local paper on it
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
prior to that at the ford dealship was vern eide ford, and vern eide ended up retiring, and so he sold it to gilbert auto after owning it for like 4 years, but prior to that it was paradise ford (the local waterway is named paradise creek).
and the last, which left last year was the subaru dealership, they moved to a city about 45 minutes south of us, and that left the used dealership, C&T used cars as the sole dealership in my town.
let me know in the comments if anything like this has happened to you in your town.

Our Lexus dealership just did a great remodel, but I doubt that's what you're looking for.

The strangest thing that's happened around here is that a Saturn dealer was replaced with a Mitsubishi dealer.
From dead company to dying company.

We once had a dealership where all of the cars were stolen by staff overnight. It was a used lot, and 15 vehicles went missing in a period of a few hours. I think they caught them on a car carrier like, 3 states over later that week, and the manager who owned the dealership just up and disappeared. I never found out what happened to him or the staff that stole the cars.

i (and every one else in the town) are quite aware that we absolutely suck at football (and most other sports other than track and field), so no worries, we got our asses kicked by Washington State University last year, their campus is literally 10 miles from us, their a pac-12 team, not a very good one, but still a pac-12 team, i think the score was either 35-0 or 42-0 or something like that, anyways we suck at football.

Please take the following as constructive criticism, and not as some sort of personal attack.
I stopped reading before I even finished your second paragraph. Your nonsensical sentences combined with your spartan use of capitalization distract me from the actual content.

It was meant to be a poor play on words, dealerships leaving because of vandalism. But I suppose there's the football thing, too...

No worries, I'm a teenager and I'll be a senior next year. Because its summer I'm too lazy to check grammar and the like. English is not going to be my major in college because I hate writing papers and doing other englishy stuff. I tried in this reply to use better writing skills than what I just posted. I can write better, its something that especially since I'm not writing the post in Word or OpenOffice or whatever that is something that I do not like to do, but no worries and I'll try to start writing with better punctuation or using some sort of autocorrect to help me find common mistakes.

It takes a lot to offend me, if you are spewing out racial slurs or proclaiming that Osama Bin Laden was a great person, thats offensive. But most minor things will not bother me. I may find some small things annoying or obnoxious (not constructive criticism like your post). In general, I am generally a very even-keeled person.

Quite the opposite here. There's a Mercedes Benz, Ford, Cadillac, Subaru, and an exotic car dealer (Lambo, Maclaren, Aston Martin, Lotus) all within 1 mile of my house. There was a buy here/pay here lot that just closed down. 2 miles out there's also a Toyota dealership. The strange thing is this area is mostly apartments (not luxury apartments either).
