Seriously though, the Egoista sucks.

At least they never sold the Egoista. Our eyes are safe for now.

It looks like what you would get if you melted a Storm Trooper's helmet, and then ran it through a wind tunnel. And then stabbed it.

You're comparing a bespoke concept to a tuned supercar with a bodykit??
![]() 07/30/2014 at 19:39 |
|
Yes. They look very similar.
![]() 07/30/2014 at 19:40 |
|
Also, the Egoista is based on the Gallardo, so it's not bespoke.

NO MATE

Three distinct nose protrusions, way too much choppy detail, lots of "aero"...
![]() 07/30/2014 at 19:58 |
|
Oh! I just assumed seeing how it costs multiple Gallardos and is marketed being all about "one" and unique that it was!
![]() 07/30/2014 at 20:10 |

I'll sort of give you the nose protrusions. That said, these are not Panoz Esperantes and all those protrusions are surely functional. Choppy detail and aero, no, not at all. Look at how angular everything on the Egoista is, due to it being based on fighter jets. As for the aero, all modern supercars have a splitter up front, and for a required part they are different enough as they follow their respective inspirarions. Enzo - F1 front, Egoista - looks like the rear of the jet engines of theB2 Stealth Bomber

Haha, it is definitely different enough that I'm willing to give it a pass and we can call it bespoke. I mean, technically it's not, but in concept it's really worlds away.
![]() 07/30/2014 at 21:16 |

Yeah, I know about aero and stuff, I just doubt how practical the Egoista's splitter is. And how useful the Gemballenzo's rear wing is too.
![]() 07/30/2014 at 21:39 |
|
In terms of aero efficiency, it's likely that for aesthetics' sake the splitter makes less downforce/more drag than a more conventional design. However with anything from modern sports cars up you can be quite confident that added spoilers etc will be useful and not just there to look pretty. I would be very surprised if this Enzo doesn't have atleast +10% downforce at the rear over the original because that's how tuners, manufacturers justify their pricetags. Everything has to be better in some way or it loses credibility.

Haha, yeah. I'm with you. But how do you justify...
THIS?!
Just kidding.
