I still keep in contact and occasionally hang out with an old war buddy from Iraq. For as much as he talks about cars I was blown away to learn that he didn't know how to drive stick. I guess that explains his love for shitty GM W-bodies, though.

Nope, he refuses to. He absolutely loves his 2006 Grand Prix GXP "muscle car." It's got tapshift so he doesn't need to. He also loves to talk shit about Mustangs while driving it. Mustangs have their problems, but holy shit! I honestly just avoid the subject of cars with him as hearing him talk about them makes me constipated.
