When these commercials were new, I was a kid and had no idea who Bob Seger was.
As a result, I thought he was saying "Like a ruck", because "ruck" rhymes with "truck".
I was not a smart child.

What makes me chuckle is that if you listen to the song it's a guy saying how great he used to be when he was young. It was maybe more accurate than GM meant it to be.

As a European, I have no idea what people need trucks for, but damn, this makes wanna go out and buy a Chevy truck everytime I see it.

Still one of the best ad campaigns GM has ever done. Seriously, just look at how many times it still gets referenced today, often in comparisons to Chevy's current marketing initiatives. Kind of makes you wonder why they ever stopped it.
Also, while we're at it, remember when every GM brand had it's own jingle? Not great art, but those things were earworms.
