"Officers were requested for a standby on Rock Springs Road, where a woman said her boyfriend had taken her van without permission."
While on scene police observed the vehicle pull up and stop, with the suspect exiting and returning her keys.
When the man said he wanted to retrieve his personal possessions from the van, police advised that he needed to step away and they'd get the items for him.
After calling an officer a "smart ass (expletive)" the man was arrested for disorderly conduct.
According to the police report, the suspect levied multiple threats during transport to jail: "He was going to stomp my teeth out, stomp my mother's teeth out and rape my children." That led to an additional charge of retaliation for past actions."
Part II
So.. guy's in jail for this.. And the area has a freak tornado. Two houses were pretty much destroyed.. guess who's was one of them?
"Sunday evening's Sullivan County tornado revealed more than the devastating side of nature, according to police, but also nearly $2,000 worth of goods recently stolen in Kingsport burglaries.
The discovery was made by a resident of Rock Springs Road who ran to his neighbor's home after witnessing it being leveled by the storm. He reportedly found no one present among the debris — but did spot an air compressor recently stolen from his own barn.
As of Monday night, Jerrod L. Christian, 26, of 1912 Rock Springs Road, had pending charges on two counts of burglary, one count of theft over $500 and one count of theft over $1,000. He was questioned on Monday at the Sullivan County jail in Blountville, said Kingsport Police Department Public Information Officer Tom Patton.
Christian has been jailed since !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , which occurred the day prior to the tornado.
The next day, powerful storms blew through Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee, with Christian's home incurring the most damage from an EF-1 tornado.
Patton said a neighbor of Christian's observed the destruction, then ran to render any needed aid after the storm had subsided.
That's when the victim, according to police, spotted an air compressor he had reported as stolen in a barn burglary just the previous day. Kingsport detectives subsequently searched the debris, allegedly finding additional possessions stolen from Christian's neighbor in a separate burglary from July 14.
Police identified those items as an air hose, ratchet, welder and weed trimmer.
On Monday evening, Christian remained held in the Sullivan County jail due to Saturday's arrest, with charges to be placed in the alleged burglaries.
Sad for the family but they really need to take this clue and get away from that.

Anything involving a van immediately qualifies as weird.
