The Porsche 912 is my favorite car ever made by Porsche. I even like the 912 better than classic 911's.

I love the way it looks so it's my favourite in that department. Would much prefer to drive a more modern one though.

If you want 911 looks but a lot easier car to maintain and you don't require sportiness it's a good choice.
I wouldn't want one though.

I get it; some 911 with some 356 special sauce. There's something very clean about that car.

An observation from my friend who is restoring a 912: A fully restored, numbers-matching 911 could go for well upwards of $100k. A fully restored 912 might fetch $35k. In the meantime, as a 912 owner/mechanic/restorer, you are competing with those 911 restorer prices for every single part.
