Hey Kids! It's time for another episode of "Do you feel lucky, punk?"
Today's contestant is a slice of Clinton-era Japanese luxury from Datsun Nissan Inifiniti ! Yup, later this afternoon my daughter and I are going to drive down to basically Mexico the South Bay for a clandestine meet-up with the seller in a mall parking lot. Seems legit! We'll be checking out a relatively low-mileage !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Neat, huh?
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
So what say you armchair prognosticators of mechanical reliability? Anything particular about these I should look out for? Anyone violently apposed to these cars (like you were with the Land Rover Disco the other day)? I have never owned/had to deal with any flavor of Nissan before so I'm a bit of a babe in the woods with these things.

I am in no need of this car anymore since I have bought another.
Sounds comforting.

They got rid of the plastic cam chain tensioners the year before, so the only thing I can remember is to see if the trans shifts smoothly. 90's Japan reliability with 7 series comfort. AKA, DOOOOOOOOOO EEEETTTTTTTTTTTT NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWW

By the way, we went to check out this beast this morning. It had bullet-proof windows ... I just HAD to! Roughly half of the electronics worked and the bottom-end felt like it was right on the edge of flying apart.
We ran away.

No. One daughter drives the Mercedes Benz, soon a daughter will drive the Infiniti, and eventually the third daughter will drive a Fiat Spyder. They will be the uber allies trifecta.

It has a VH45 which is basically(kind of) a racing engine. It way overbuilt for its road car application, so you won't have any problems with the engine. As for everything else. . . I don't know
Why not a Lexus LS400? My uncle has owned one for 20 years with 240k on it, and it is still going strong! Plus 1UZ. You know me and my 1UZ :3

Not too bad. I'm pretty sure I linked you a 7 Series in your question yesterday about Rovers.
I was tempted to even send you the bulletproof Merc, but stopped when I saw Salvage title.

I'm not at all opposed to a salvage title on a $2-3000 first car for a teen that is only going to carry liability insurance, anyway. Most of the time salvage titles happen because of theft.

I can virtually guarantee this is a scam.

Ah, gotcha. I keep thinking of my archaic laws here in Jersey. A car with a salvage title is basically unregisterable without jumping through a million hoops.

It'll only cost you a kidney or two. Where's your sense of adventure?
