Vacuum power assisted steering ?
I've heard of vacuum power assisted brakes, hydraulic power assisted steering, electric power assisted steering, hydraulic power assisted brakes (diesels), even vacuum-operated windshield wipers.
Is vacuum-assisted steering a thing, or is that a typo?
