I've been yearning for an old land yacht lately. The main reason for this is that I'm looking for something that's cheap, looks cool, and can baby with relative ease. That mostly results in 80's land yachts going across my radar.

My dad used to have a shit brown one of this same year when I was in my teens. I was so happy when it lost reverse gear. Surely he would get something less embarrassing. Nope he kept driving it, but was more careful how he parked.

Wow. Very nice indeed. I love all land yachts. Handling be damned I want to cruise at 20 mph down main street.

Mostly because I don't currently have the time to keep a car that old running. I do look at older ones from time to time, but it's rare to find one that's affordable and in decent running shape.

The 80's yatchs are at the bottom of the depreciation curve. The 60's and 50's are already expensive. 70's is hit and miss.

Depends on the car if you want a Lincoln kinda like mine you can find a really nice one for 10k and a driver that is a two door for 6k. Granted that is a 58-60 Lincoln. Other cars I have noticed are priced similarly but I am not sure any of them will appreciate

Totally understandable. Although 70's yachts are my favourite the 80's yachts are attainable at bargain basement prices.
