Which is better and why? Somebody got me way off track today by asking me this. What say OPPO?
Side question do you eat your sandwich upside down, or right side up. I eat it upside down, it tastes better...

Triangle cut because two pointy ends to put in mouth.
(Geez, that almost sounds dirty.)

Triangle. Easier to start eating by biting into a corner, and if you don't like the crust, then it's much easier to eat everything you want to.

Don't wear lipstick; it just get's in the way of scarfing down your sandwich. Then you can just shove the entire thing in your mouth.

I like to do that but then the ranch on the thick BLT all slides to one side. Then I have a mouth full of ranch.

From working in a restaurant kitchen, I learned to make sandwiches upside down and then flip them right side up. Because it's much easier to set up your veggies first then meat & cheese on top of those, than the other way around. But then you want the veggies on top when you're eating.
Triangle cut.

Depends on the sandwich. Grilled cheese must always be cut into triangles. PB&J gets cut in rectangles. Deli sandwiches, usually on oval bread, get cut on the short vertical axis. Sauces are usually on the top of the sandwich, and PB&J must have the jelly on top.

that is likely my issue, no veggies, sub potato chips on top all day for salad on my bread

depends on the sandwich type and mode. Grilled cheese usually triangle. Cold cuts usually straight from top to bottom. If you want to eat tons of sandwich, triangle cross, (finger sandwich style). Why can I 15 finger sandwiches but cant eat 2 regular sandwiches?

Neither. I eat it whole. Including the crust. In fact, I've made sammiches before with both end pieces. OM NOM NOM

Triangles, and upside down is definitely the way to be eating it.

I also use the reverse veggies first technique, especially with hot sandwiches. You save time by stacking your veggies while the meat is cooking, and the burger is still piping hot when it's served.
