Agreed, eff the haters. Chris Cornell has a simply amazing voice, something like a V8 warble that revs to 8k rpm.
Holy Shit! Chris Cornell is the S62 of voices!!!

I have hate for late soundgarten, if I hear black hole sun or see the video one more time I am going to fucking hang myself. Same goes for spoonman. This album just straight rocked and was so superior

Agreed. The first Audioslave album is utterly fantastic. I consistently play it to this day. Also, I still get chills watching the scene in Collateral when they play Audioslave. I haven't seen many so perfectly matched visuals and music combinations in film.

My friend and I were having a discussion about AC/DC. I dare you to find one of their songs that isn't about sex, gettin' with a lady or other sexual themes. I like the Audioslave album because its got a good variety and very soulful lyrics (been in a mood lately). Not that AC/DC is bad, just just old fast in my book.

The movie "the Professional," with Jean Reno, Gary Oldman, Natalie Portman. There is a scene where she comes walking up past her parents apartment, and walks past to Jean's door. The music they use there is so perfect, so incredibly timed, I still get chills watching it. Hell, I'm getting chills right now just typing!

Oh thank god that it wasn't (or was) a typo. I thought Tom picked up some huge Fender endorsement or that was a line from a song I was unaware of.
I know this doesn't have any Chris Cornell content, but here is some lost RATM footage.
My favorite part is the YouTube description:
ooooh shit. almost 21 years ago i shot this footage of rage playing zed records. mostly been sitting on it for this long because im that lazy.

Yeah. That's a good example as well. Great movie. Portman is brilliant in that role.
