Moved into my new toolbox today.

I'm definitely settled into my new job. And I'm still loving it.

Recently I had my graduation party, which meant I was ready to start buying tools. First on the list: a new box, because the old Craftsman box I had wasn't going to cut it. Last night I picked up my new box, a 44" US General 13 drawer cabinet from Harbor Freight. I knew I wanted this box because my dad has the exact same one. While it may be a bit smaller than something from Snap-on/Mac/Matco, it's a lot cheaper. But it's still an excellent box.

So at the end of the day I started moving in. I still have more tools to move, but I made a good start. It's already much better than my little Craftsman. That box will come home eventually, and I'll buy a decent Craftsman set to refill it so I have tools at home again.

Last night I picked up some more that I've been wanting for a while. I got a 20 piece Gearwrench set, some hammers, some pry bars, and a couple other odds and ends.

I was also blamed for the purchase of another box today. When the Matco man came, he had a used Snap-on that he took in trade, and the guy I work with just had to have it. Tool box day at Pro Auto!

Eventually I will have myself a big fancy Snap-on (because that's what my boss and co-worker use) but right now, I'm still starting. But you know what, I love what i'm doing. I don't have to have the most expensive tools to be happy. I honestly have the best job ever.

If you want to get high quality tools at cut rate prices go to estate sales. Everything is cheap and you can haggle on everything. If you offer to buy an entire toolbox you can probably get an awesome deal.
