Father says "Drive your uncle to dinner in your Trans Am." I really didn't want to, but he said I had to. I'm too poor to afford the gas for pointless trips! Does he not understand that?! Come on!

Tell him your Uncle touched you once; problem solved.

Like you need an excuse to drive your car. I mean, unless he's one of those touchy uncles, hoon that mother and give him a ride to remember.

It's called "paying your dues", I'm afraid. Unless your uncle is named Ernie and you like to play pinball. In that case, you should respectfully decline.

Uncle Steve,
Its 15 miles round trip to Olive Garden. Dad is making me drive you. My TA is getting an average of 11mpg for the last couple tanks.
Gas is $3.56/ gal. This trip will cost: $4.85. So when we get back you'll owe me $2.43, unless you can get someone else to come along, then it'll be $1.62 for both of you.

I have a solution, show your dad your bank statement. I did that once and never again. I remember exactly what he said, "Damn son, you ain't even got enough for the dollar menu".

Explain to him that you need to save your gas money for bringing girls places.
