A 2015 Subaru Legacy 3.6R Limited. You may have noticed already, but this one has Manufacturer Plates.

Kinja'd!!!

Oddly enough, this plate is from somewhere I wouldn't have expected (Illinois). One might expect a New Jersey Plate (Their US Headquarters are in Cherry Hill) or an Indiana Plate (The location of SIA, where this Legacy would have been built).

Kinja'd!!!

As it turns out, Subaru has Regional and Zone Offices (3 and 12, respectively) which handle and support local sales, marketing and retailer relations activities. One of these Regional Offices is located in Itasca, IL, hence the plate (most likely). The more you know.

As for the car itself, I quite like it. I've seen them on the local lot already, but not out and around. The styling is certainly toned down from the previous generation. At this point, I'm not sure which style I like better; both are nice. I will say the new Crystal White Pearl (which replaces Satin White Pearl) is lovely in person. It's a bit brighter than Satin White Pearl, but still has a nice pearlescent tone overall.

Monster-ish enough. We have the 3.6 in the Outback, and while it's not the most powerful engine out there, it sure is fun with it's flat torque curve. It doesn't have to work hard at all because of it.

It's around 250 hp, so not really.

That's odd. The 2015 Legacy and Outback were due to arrive by early-mid July. My local dealer, Ciocca Subaru in Allentown, PA already has 10 on the lot, including two 3.6R Limiteds. Another mix of 28 appear to be on the way.

Where's your dealer located/who are they? It seems odd that they don't have any or at least aren't willing to sell them yet. It might be possible that they have backlog of 2014s to sell yet...

Sorry should've been more clear. He told me that Subaru hasnt even made any 2015 Legacys with the 3.6 for sale yet. They have a ton of 2.5 though. The 3.6 wont be out until later this fall.

Its Freehold Subaru in NJ. i was surprised to hear this as well and didn't believe him.

But PA is close enough that I could go take the drive over honestly. Im looking for a fully loaded 3.6R Limited with navi, eyesight, sunroof, etc

They only have one 2014 left so thats not it.

I figured it out. It's Eyesight that's the holdup, not the 3.6. Apparently, Eyesight equipped models will not be available until Fall (they can still be ordered now, however).

Also, if you haven't checked it out yet, Cars101.com is a fantastic resource for Subaru information and research.

256 hp to be exact. It's not a monster, but it sure isn't weak.

True, I just wish they'd put a turbo on it.

My sentiments exactly, looks like a Camry had sex with a Fusion.

I guess it really depends on how quickly your looking to get something. Realistically, you would be looking at waiting ~2 months for a fully loaded one with Eyesight, based on what I've been reading in the forums.

Actually...

Mighty Car Mods is working on a '95 Legacy Wagon turbo build with an EZ36D.

Yeah, I need a turbo Yoda in m garage. Once the EA82 finally dies in my Loyale wagon, I want to put something heftier in it. Wagon + 4wd + 250 hp and only 2300lbs is going to be a lot of fun.
