Man, that's tough. I graduated from high school in '84, but I was listening to Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Neil Young, Jethro Tull, etc. I was certainly aware of all the '80s stuff, but I never really identified with it. But, I'll go with David Bowie from his "Let's Dance" days (1983). I saw him in concert on the "Let's Dance" tour. Holy shit, that was a great show. One of the few I actually remember.......
