For only $5. It cleaned up real nice. Pretty good since I'm not at my house. (Hence the ugly ass hotel sheets)

Weird pictures, my mistake. If you don't have a Model M, get one. You won't regret it.

Good find! I have a friend who hoards the things - one breaks or dies, he swaps out for another while he rebuilds the dead one

I just picked up a Razer Black Widow Ultimate 2014, and I love it. Perfect mix of mechanical clickiness and MACROS

At a pawn shop, Haha.

Cleaning it out was the hardest part, and finding the right thing to unscrew the back.

You're going to be sick. We threw out hundreds of those at work a few months back that were hoarded for the last 2 decades.

Gah, those could have been sold for $70 A piece!

I do that with the equally legendary late '80s Apple Extended Keyboard – they're quieter than the Model M, but with a similar feel. The only catch is that you need a hard-to-find ADB-USB converter in order to use them on anything remotely modern. Good thing that I hoard them, too.

NOW you tell me! I honestly didn't think we could give them away. Much like all the CRT monitors.

Haha, if you put a free add up on Craigslist I assure you they would have been taken pretty quick. They're getting really desirable recently.

My friends always cry about mechanical keyboards not being around anymore (I'm sad too), but the Dell SK-8115 is an absolute joy to use if you can find a good one. I prefer it to every mechanical keyboard I've tried, barring my friend's Corsair Vengeance. That thing is awesome. I've never used a Model M though.

Ah, I've got one of those things with silver around it at my office. It's alright, the space bar is a bit clunky though.

My school is full of them. Most have that awful space bar problem, but the one I got from my dad's government surplus room is a peach.
