I left a bad review on the FB page of the shop that took my money for a bad rebuild on Thur. Their FB page went down Friday, came back up today and my review was gone, along with a message from FB saying the owner requested its removal. Coincidence...
I just copy-paste the review again adding that he will probably delete the review again to cover up his mistake. He replies this time saying he didn't request the first review be deleted. And only disputes one of the seven things he did to my engine, no mention of why he's been working without a business license for almost three years or his pending court case with another customer...or the other four that want to press charges.

Or the Tennessee Secretary of State's office when they get a report that there's a business operating without a license...which means they may or may not have three years of back taxes with the state.

I'd also recommended writing a review on bimmerforums so no fellow owners have the same misfortune.

I LOVE the
The (S14 in the) M3 is the 318 engine with a different head and intake
Paul Rosche would keel over if he heard that.

Lol yeah, I actually giggled a little when I read his response.
"I'm gonna make something up and use it as an excuse, then ignore everything else!"

After reading the list of issues found, I am just amazed how badly the engine was reassembled. Isn't there a proper kit, or a guide to rebuild one of these things?
I've disassembled and reassembled 4 engines as part of school (Honda GX270, Ford 302 from a 1990 Grand Marquis, Chevy Vortec V6 from a 1996 GMC Sonoma, Chevy 350) my group and I made sure mistakes like this didn't happen. We fired the engines up no problem, mainly due to the fact that we used the original screws to tighten the engine back up. Given the fact that the S14 is an engineering marvel compared to the crude small block engines I pulled apart, the idea is pretty much the same.

And here...for your reading pleasure. (Names of BTU have been changed to protect BTU.
"The sealer that is used to seal cam box will get in the bolt holes and look as if someone has put thread lock on the bolts. I have seen the engine so I dont know what part of this is true or not. My shop does quality work and we want to make everybody happy.I think Dr. Doge Profile Picture should stick to fixing teeth and not try to trash me nor anybody else due to lack of knowledge about cars. The M3 S14 is known to be a problem engine. I dont have a list what was done or not done from engine builder. Ive been doing this over 30 years and have never had a complant like this. The oil pump that I put in the car was the one that came out of it after it was inspected to see if it was good. Who know how this car was driven in 2 years and if the oil had been changed or anything had been done. I told the owner to bring car back after 1500 miles for a oil service and valve adjustment so I could inspect car and make sure all was well. It never happen so who knows. I think if I noticed something wrong 4 months after I would fix it then while I had a year warranty and not wait 2 years. We dont try to screw anybody over so we dont need to be trashed over this crap. If there is a mistake we offerer to fix it."
So...if he's been doing this for 30 years...shouldn't he have known that it was the wrong oil pump? (The first of many questions I would ask...seems like a class act...)
