Torch is going to be driving cross-country in an RV, and Orlove is enjoying a Sprinter van.
Neither of those has really worked out for me in the past. But good luck!

Are these pictures yours? It seems like being in a motor vehicle with you would be quite... fun.

Yup. Both times, I was asleep in the back. The lead image is 12 year old me on the roof with my 14 year old brother, in 2004.

I've shared on Jalopnik a few times before.

There's one of the times the story made it to front page.

No, I'm perfectly fine in RVs... it's when I try to take a nap while someone else drives.

That's astonishing. I'm so glad that all of you recovered, especially your mother. I did want to know what happened with the Sprinter, but maybe not!

Down in the comments I did a follow-up on the RV wreck.
The Sprinter wasn't too exciting. Friend and I were driving it cross country. I was napping in the back while he was driving. 4 am, New Mexico. 60 mph gust of wind blew us off the road and it rolled twice.

Ouch. Lesson learned. Drive yourself at all times!
Kidding, these incidents were out of your control. Glad you're all ok though!

No, lesson learned. I only drive myself now. Honestly, I could have probably recovered when the van got blown over. The wind knocked it onto two wheels for a second, and when it came back down it fishtailed, my friend lost control, and ran off the road. He compensated wrong for the slide, which made it all worse.
Luckily, he was completely uninjured, and I just had a couple of cuts so no harm done (well, asides from a totaled van).
