Today driving behind a LR DiscoveryII, I noticed that the rear half-shafts are of different lengths. So this got me thinking: does this mean a RWD car can torque-steer?
Other questions: Most RWD-based 4WD vehicles, such as my JK, I see have equal length rear half-shafts. So why are Disco2's different? Is there an off-road advantage to this design?

Offset differential housing can be better for clearing obstacles if I remember correctly.

To an extent yes but not really because there is no steering on the rear wheels.

i'm not an offroad expert but i do know that on the original RHD defender/90/110/whateverthehellyoucallit the front diff housing was offset to the right to make it easier to clear obstacles
also don't count me on this but i think that by having the diff's offset you can mount the transfer-case lower resulting a lower center of gravity
