"66671 - 200 [METRIC] my dash" (66671)

So I saw one these while on vacation in Portugal (no SR20, fuck me), and I didn't know what it was at the time, but after some quick research I found out that it was an Porsche 718. (Of some variation). I tried talking to the driver as he was leaving (asked him if he spoke English) but he just shook his head and left (unfriendly, IDK) and I'm trying to figure out if it was a street legalized kit car or something.
It had three rear light on each side (stacked on top of each other), and a hump behind the passenger seat as well, you can see the car above has one. It also had two folding rear view mirrors along the top of the windshield, if anyone knows about these (cuz I don't), please help me out.

Since the only other pic you can find is in a museum, I'm gonna say kit car of the above-mentioned 718.
But I'd like to be proven wrong.

It's not the only other pic, but there are variants and some I've seen on the road, no pics I have found have the two humps or three rear lights though.
