As if a full Landau is more appealing? I own a Grand Marquis; I hate ALL kinds of cloth/vinyl roofs (unless they're on a convertible)

Pretty sure Cadillac went to a less formal, more steeply raked C-pillar on that Deville specifically to discourage dealers from doing just this. Honestly, they really should have known better. I've actually seen more than one ATS with the vinyl roof treatment.

my area has a median age of 69. And wealthy old people love Cadillacs. They put these tops on everything. There was even a SRX with one! I'm hoping they come by work one time so I can get a pic!

Even if you like the look, I can't fathom the complete lack of any taste sensibility required to put on on a crossover. Probably the same people that encase their sofas in clear plastic and cover one wall with a floor-to-ceiling mirror to make the room look bigger.
