So, I ask this because my family is still trying to get used to good service. Mercedes was terrible around here, lied to us, and basically got my mother into a car that was just going off a cliff. And the service department was just terrible.
She has since moved over to BMW, trading in her C-class, for a 328D wagon (Review still incoming) and everything has changed. The dealership is nicer, the employees are more knowledgable, and everyone cares to make sure your car is perfect and right for you. It's the complete opposite of Merc. So oppo, who do you think has the best customer service?

According to JD Power, Porsche, Jaguar, and Lexus rank the highest pretty consistently.

That seems like it's too dependent on the dealer experience to have any kind of meaningful answer. Any question which, depending on location and weighting of factors, could end up everything from Hyundai to Jaguar is going to be difficult.
Maybe, then, Tesla wins by default? I don't know.

Personal experience and working with numerous dealers, Lexus is the best, Jaguar runs a close second because they have to

According to the sheer amount of vehicles recalled: Chevrolet. LOL!

True. I have found most dealers using the same brand to be pretty similar though

I went with a friend to the porsche dealership once due to a switch breaking, and they were amazing. I can see them being the best

That sounds more of a dealer issue. I've dealt with the manufacture once, and I'd say GM worked in my favor.

It depends on the dealers near you but I have to go with BMW as well, for the past 10+ years they have done my family right and got things done properly the first time around. Most of the employees are car nuts and they host regular car shows for all bmws new and old. I strongly suggest the Rallye bmw dealership if it is around you. Top notch service right as you step foot in the door.

I don't care if you are or aren't. These jokes are overdone enough on the FP.

BMW has been amazing for my family's last three cars, whether it be a lease or CPO. Always provided a loaner car, never made a fuss when we brought the car in for service.
It's been 10 years since we've owned a Lexus but the dealer experience was also great. Didn't need to bring it in much after the initial purchase because nothing ever broke on them.

Probably Porsche. You'll pay through the nose, but the service is unbeatable.

This.
I've had great service from an Acura dealer, and absolutely the worst service of my life from a BMW dealer. The dealerships seem to have a lot to do with it, and if there aren't many franchises in an area for that particular make, they don't have a lot of incentive to take care of you.
The attitude at my BMW dealer was, "we know you love our cars, so be glad we're willing to sell one to you and don't complain about service."

I think it's much more dealer based than manufacturer based. I have had terrible experiences with one Mercedes dealer in my area but another Mercedes dealer has the best customer service I've ever seen from a car dealership. When my dad needs his car serviced, they drive a rental all the way from Waco and take his car for him from work. He hasn't had to actually visit the dealership in years.
