Breathing new life into a laptop

Before... it looked like this. Fan shroud was blocked up with dust and I cleaned it out... also did the fan fins and the heatsink. Removed all thermal paste, added my own. Taking it apart was a slow process, but I found a really good guide on YouTube for it. Luckily I had a spudger so that helped A LOT.

Now it idles in the 40s. It's an HP DV4-1313DX. The only issues with it now is that it needs a new battery and is missing a left mouse button.

Does anyone else have an HP DV4?

Does anyone else have an HP DV4?

We have a DV6 that we bought four years ago right after the new models came out. It also overheats like a motherfucker. I have a feeling that I'm going to have to take it apart and reapply some thermal paste to the GPU sink and anything else I can find.

Fan runs FLATOUT all the time, and graphics are starting to suffer playing her facebook games.

I can't imagine these two machines being too dissimilar. What was the YouTube video you used to help with taking it apart?
