Two stroke's a marvellous thing if you don't need torque, easy starting, low emissions and good fuel economy.

I was about to add long engine life until I remembered that two stroke marine diesels go on for decades.

A two stroke diesel is am entirely different animal from a two stroke gas engine. Much less black magic in the diesel.
