Yesterday, while at the mall, my family came out to find a huge scuff complete with a large dent along the side of my dad's car. The SUV on that side was pristine, and facing the wrong direction, so it must have been the person who was there before. Of course, no one could remember anything about the car, and we were in a blind spot for the cameras. So yeah. The asshole got away with it.

What a dick. I hit a car last year and left a note. I was out like $400. Audi's man I swear to god they are the most expensive things in the damn world to work on.

Did you file a police report? If so, it should take the edge off the insurance hit. I had similar happen to me.

Jeez, Sorry to hear that. Wish he'd left a note or something.

I just got home from a parking lot, and even though I parked in the end corner, the right side of the rear bumper just got badly scuffed.. Let's just say I'm beyond enraged right now, no note either. 6 month old car. So difficult to keep my cool. There are surveillance cameras there, I want to get the person who did it...

No. My mom was understandably frustrated with him, but my dad thinks it will be easy enough to fix. They only left their paint on the car and didn't take any off, so it should scrub clean. The dent isn't on an edge, so it should hopefully pop out with one of those suction cup things. Still, just because we got lucky doesn't mean the next person will. I'd have filed a report if it was my car, but my dad just doesn't want to deal with that.

My ex once hit a brand new Jeep with dealer tags, left a note, and was told not to worry about it, even though that car needed a new bumper and/or paint job. Not to mention she hit the back wheel pretty hard, and I was worried about internal damage there. I guess some people are just super forgiving, though.

A 2009 Kia Spectra. Nothing special, but definitely not old enough that someone could have thought we wouldn't care/notice.

That's fortunate. The first week I had my car someone hit it in a parking lot. I almost killed that guy, I ran out of the restaurant livid to confront him. Understand I had saved up over 2 years for my car. When I got to it, the guy had just hit the turned out wheel so that's why it moved so much. He didn't hit it that hard it was no worse for wear.

Damn, that's good. I've actually never had one of my cars hit (as far as I know), but I can only imagine that would be terrifying.

I know. People suck. We were sitting right in our car in a parking lot, and a teen age girl in a suburban came out of 2nd row doors and she took a huge chuck of paint out of our door handle. It made a huge noise and they just continued on like it never happened. My mom went up to them and got all the information. Very Frustraiting.

Wow.. People really do suck.. It's even more painful when you're attached to your car. And ouch! It must of been so aggravating to see how they just didn't care. >:(
