It's as simple as this:

I like their products. Top-notch in my book.

I think their corporate structure and the way they run things is the most fucked up thing I've ever seen. Lets hide shit for 10 years, then come clean about that, then hide more shit and come clean about that too! Genius!

No. Not at all. Corporate restructuring needs to happen, Now.

And while Barra is in the court room, how about any other executive that was in charge of GM from 2000 up be there too. They're just as, if not more guilty than Barra.

Seriously GM, this is fucked up.

Don't compliment GM on their cars—they HATE that! No, really, they do! In fact, if a car is too good, they kill it off! This, and their corporate structure, is exactly why they should not have been bailed out.

^^ what he said. The 1989 Fiero was presented to the inside executives. Someone said, "Goddamn that's a great car. Faster than out Corvette!" It was! Had the quad-4 engine of 180hp+gobs of torque, handled like sticky awesome. light...

Killed off before anyone outside knew....and hid for ten years.

Isn't it more like they hid shit from 10 years ago, came clean about some of it but not all? I'm not really paying attention to all this but I'm under the impression that we're just getting inundated with new findings from around the same time period. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Is GM's corporate structure fucked up or is it just the executives? Aren't they organized like every other major car manufacturer/large corporation. Maybe I'm getting some terms mixed up here, but this sounds like a cultural issue rather than a structural one.

Welcome to the era of executive incompetence. My decisions put millions of people's lives at risk? Well I don't work there now and got my golden parachute anyway and will never ever face charges or penalties at all for this, so who gives a fuck? NOT ME!

The Quad 4 is awesome, especially the 190-hp W41. More power and torque than an H22—which wasn't even out yet!!!! And it got MUCH better gas mileage and no FRM liner headaches, although the head gaskets kinda suck though :(

Eh, the bailout made sense because it affect way more than just those at corporate level. They're the real idiots.

There's just something wrong there, and it seems to be fairly deep in the culture. Not to say there aren't many great people working there, but the leadership...ugh.

What's worse is that is the environment at so many companies. Their shit hasn't seen the light of day yet.

What's even worse is that you're 100% right.
